What I’m Grateful For

 
Maddix Brigham Weight joined our little family on February 9, 2010 at 1:45pm. He is such an angel. He weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and is 21 in long. He has dark brown hair and the cutest little face ever. He definitely looks so much like his daddy, but has his mommy’s coloring.
Have you ever had to leave the hospital without your baby? I’m sure several of you have and that’s what I’m finally coming to accept! Maddix has jaundice so he had to stay at the hospital 1 more night. This morning we called to see how he’s doing and they said that his bilirubin level went up more and that they needed to keep him monitored for 6-8 more hours. Hopefully he’ll be able to come home after that! We miss him!

Through all this it made me think of everything that I’m grateful for:

• The gospel- I can’t imagine my life without it. I am so grateful to have a strong testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ.
• The Plan of Salvation- I love knowing that I can live with my family for eternity.
• Brigham- I have such an incredible husband. He is such a hard worker and has such a strong testimony. He treats me so well. I love him so much!
• Maddix- I am so excited to have Maddix in our family. This little guy is such a sweetheart and brings us so much joy!
• Family- I have the most amazing family. My parents are great examples and do so much for us. I love being a part of the Weight family as well. They are so much fun to be around!
• Temple- I love going to the temple with Brigham. I love going there and feeling the spirit so strong. It is such a beautiful place. I am so grateful to have the temple so close by!
• Friends

Here Comes Maddix!!

Sorry if this title fooled you…no Maddix is not here yet unfortunately. BUT…he should be here very soon! When I went in for my 36 week appointment, my doctor found out that I was 1 cm dilated and 50-60% effaced which is pretty good for 36 weeks! So I went in for my 38 week appointment yesterday and found out that I am 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced! He said that I am progressing a lot. YAY! Tonight I’ve been having lots of cramping which means I’m progressing even more! This baby could be here any day!! :) Wish me luck. I’m going to need it! Can’t wait for you to join us Maddix!

*..{Anniversary + New House + Cabin Trip + Baby Shower + etc}..*

So Brig and I celebrated our 1st anniversary on January 2nd! So exciting! We’ve had such an awesome first year. Got hitched, moved into a town house that my Dad owns, Brig started his job at University of Phoenix, straight A’s for both of us :), honeymooned in Cali, made another trip to the beach, found out that I’m pregnant!, started another semester of school, bought a house, a car, etc.

Last weekend Brig and I went up to my family’s cabin with my parents and grandparents. We had fun in the snow :)

This past week, my mom and sisters threw me a baby shower. They did such an awesome job with the decorations!

Yesterday I went to lunch with my 2 best girl friends, Carissa & Lauren. Love those girls! Lauren was down visiting from Utah so we had to make a Costa Vida run! Unfortunately we were too busy talking so I forgot to get a picture of all of us :( After lunch, Lauren had to leave, but Carissa and I made a stop by the store “Hottie”.

Brigham Performing Down Down

There is never a dull moment in our home! Brig loves to break out in dance…free style! He’s so entertaining! I love it. Enjoy!

Today Brig and I went to the putting green and had a little competition! Brig won the first 5 holes and I won the last 5 holes. Which means, he got to choose where we would go for ice cream and I got to choose where we would go to dinner! :)

We had an amazing Christmas full of lots of family! Christmas parties every night! Gotta love it! We are looking forward to celebrating our 1 year anniversary in a week, my birthday in a couple weeks, Brig’s brother Chandler coming home in 6 weeks, and last but definitely not least…our baby boy Maddix coming to join our little family in 7 1/2 weeks! :)

On Christmas Eve I went over to my parents while Brig hung out with his brother, and we made doughnuts!

The day after Christmas I went shopping with my sisters and mom to use some gift card money!

We’ve Moved!

{HOUSE}
It’s not as big as we were hoping…but not too shabby for a first home eh?
Ok fine. So that’s not really our house…but it’s similar! Ours is just a couple thousand square feet smaller, front yard a tad bit smaller and not as green, and not so many pillars…if any. Or trees. Or balcony’s.
BUT, we do love having a house! It’s a fun change and it will be nice for when the babe comes! Brigham and his brothers and dad have been doing a lot of yard work on it including de-greening the pool, cutting down random plants {such as a cactus, dead citrus tree, over grown mesquite tree, many ugly bushes, dead/over grown/unnecessary palm trees. ETC} The house has lots of work to be done on the outside, but the inside is pretty much put together.

{SCHOOL & WORK)

Brig and I have both been staying quite busy with school and work. He’s doing very well at University of Phoenix! He’s loving his job and just got made Team Lead which was exciting since he hasn’t even been working there for a year. He’s doing classes there and I’m almost done with my semester at CGCC. I’ll be applying for Dental Hygiene in January. YIPPEE. I’m still working at Asrari Endodontics part time and loving it!

Yes, we did come up with a name. {Maddix Brigham Weight} is the little boy who we can’t wait for to join us in February! He’s still kicking like crazy and never sits still. He’s going to be just like his daddy! I’m 26 weeks along…~14 to go!
