maddix is 6 months old. brig & i both would agree that he has the most handsome smile ever, not to mention the most adorable laugh!
we started maddix on homemade rice cereal {thanks to my sweet friend kami} & veggies. dont be fooled by the face..he loved it! but really. somehow he already knew how to eat off of a spoon! plus he didnt even spit it everywhere like i was expecting..he loves food! must be his mammas boy :) love you sweet maddix!

this past week maddix & i went to my aunts cabin in utah with my family. we had lots of fun! the weather was incredible. rain. rain. and more rain. the zip line was definitely a favorite. o and the tie dye shirts :) so attractive. my sisters and i took some model pictures. that was fun…and my older sister and i ran four whole miles there…{dont remember the last time i ran over 3 miles…}. plus we found a bat in the cabin. that made life interesting! dont worry, my dad caught it and smashed it :) one more highlight was when my grandpa demonstrated the zip line for us. he kept trying to teach us the “right” way to do it. soo good! maddix didnt like to sleep at night there. at all. but he made up for it by doing sooo good on the 10 hour ride there AND back. he was an angel. {mostly}. thanks family for the fun trip!

I missed all the fun!!!! Maybe it's good I wasn't there to be in those crazy pics. Where was Tara? Too cool for school?
ReplyDeleteHe's a little doll! (in a manly way) And don't get discouraged about the sleeping through the night thing. It's so hard especially when it seems like everyone else's babies have been sleeping through the night since they got home from the hospital! Rushton (my 7.5 month old) was waking up 2-3 times a night until three weeks ago he turned a huge corner all by himself. (I am too much of a wuss for "sleep training") last night he slept 11 hours straight, which has been pretty common. Sometimes he wakes up once around 4. AND this all happened after his two bottom teeth poked through. So Maddix will get there! You are a great mom and have such a cute little family. :)
ReplyDeleteShelby, you are such a gorgeous mom! I feel like I haven't seen you in much too long and I haven't even gotten to see little Maddix in person. He is adorable!! Its really no surprise though, considering his cute parents. I hope you're doing well!
ReplyDeleteUm...one more comment/question. Where'd you get the shirt you are wearing in the 2nd picture where you are feeding Maddix? (Its white with orange and gray stripes on the sleeve...) I've been looking for a shirt with that style...
