mr chubbs turns 5 months old

maddix is huge! seriously tho. he has some major thunder thighs! he is rolling everywhere & scooting slowly but surely. {not sure if im ready for this whole crawling thing to happen!} he is still not sleeping through the night…which means i’m not either..or brigham. oh well. who needs sleep anyways ; ) maddix enjoys grabbing faces, sucking on his toys, drooling, kicking or pushing you away if you’re in his space, staring people down, keeping his parents up at night.. & possibly the neighbors, being outside..yes, even in the sweltering heat, rolling onto his belly in his crib {which keeps him from falling asleep}, making us laugh, sitting in his bumbo, popcorn popping {the song of course}, closing his books while being read to, caressing the wall during diaper changes, spitting up {mostly just on hid daddy though}, sucking on his toes {no, he did not get that from me. or his dad}, melting my heart with his smile, holding hands, & cuddling with me at night. i havnt started him on solid foods yet..but i did try giving him a taste of an avacado the other day :) he enjoyed it! i am so excited to start him on homemade rice cereal when he turns 6 months old. overall, maddix is such a good baby!
so in celebration of maddix turning 5 months old today, i decided to try a photo shoot {by me of course}. however, the combination of no sleep yesterday, teething, still waking up at least 3 times in the middle of the night & possibly catching sickness from me, the photo shoot wasnt as successful as i imagined. {not to mention the not so amazing camera}. instead of a perky, smiley, happy baby…i got a tired, not so happy & into this as much as i was kind of baby. but of course the pictures are still ADORABLE because after all..they are of mr chubbs :)

and basically this was his way of saying that he was done for the day.

ps. yesterday allie & my mom watched maddix while i went to a dr’s appt. while i was gone, i texted allie to see how “mr chubbs” was doing. her response: “nate is doing great!”
i had to laugh at this :) i love my “little” brother & sister. they can be entertaining..sometimes. plus they’re pretty cute if you’d ask me.

pss. last week i got to see my sister mel! she was in town with a family from boston that she works for as a nurse. she’s amazing & i love her!! plus she had a birthday a few weeks ago. mel is sooo talented. she is a nurse, she can do like 5 back hand springs in a row, she plays the organ, piano, sings, is super fashionable, gorgeous, the sweetest girl ever, so smart, & just super loveable!! love you mel!!

carlsbad

last week we went to carlsbad in cali and camped on the beach with the weights. we had a blast! the weather was perfect and maddix did great! {for the most part}. he was able to take naps on the beach so that made life a lot more enjoyable for me :) brig got sick at the end of the trip so that was a bummer, but other than that we had so much fun!
  





 

AND next year maddix will be eating the sand. oh joy :)

fathers {better late than never}

i love dads. MINE in particular. aaand i love my baby’s dad. he’s duh best.
meet darrel don lesueur. this is my dad. he’s amazing! seriously! he is sooo patient. he is always working..whether its in his chiropractic office, in the yard, in the garden, on his town houses, doing service, etc. i never hear him speak negative about Anyone! EVER! he is super easy going, athletic, gives great advice, solid in the gospel & is always there for me! i love you dad!

meet bryan lee weight. this is brigham’s dad. aka my father in law. he is way fun to be around, super sarcastic, loves to tease, loves playing with his grandkids, loves to be with family, great cook, always helping brig with yard work, loooves sports & fishing & is a great dad to his kids!  we love you!

meet brigham l. weight. this is maddix’s dad. aka: mwuah hubs. he is such an incredible guy. he does so much for our family! he is spontaneous, athletic, hard working, unselfish, motivated, thoughtful, loves kids, smart, has a strong testimony, loving, sarcastic, honest, trustworthy, easy to talk to, a great cook, can play the piano & sing, and very handsome!

dear maddix. you are now F O U R months old..wow does time fly! we love you so much more everyday & cant imagine life without you. you make us so so happy. you love laughing with daddy when he get’s home from work. you are now able to roll onto your back from your tummy so well! you’re such a talker! {definitely got that from your daddy}. we love how big your smile gets when you see us come to get you from your crib. we think you are the cutest little boy around…even at 3 o’clock in the morning. i love how whenever i say prayers with you i open my eyes to see a sweet little boy staring at me with a huge teeth-less smile! you enjoy watching sports with daddy {mommy’s not sure if that’s a good thing or not}. you stare at us as we walk away from you. you love staring at your handsome self in the mirror! you can’t get enough of your feet/thumbs/hands/mommy’s hands. i can easily say that your blue silky blanket & mommy’s baby blanket are your new best friends during naps & through the night. you have already had 2 haircuts since you were born! you have beautiful dark brown hair that is definitely going to stay brown. yay! {sorry daddy!} & H U G E dark blue eyes that we absolutely adore. you have the cutest dimples ever.. you are a great combination of both your mommy & daddy. you have your daddy’s face & your mommy’s coloring. no you are not mexican. you are 100% white. just to get things straight. today at your doctors appointment the doctor informed us that you now weigh a whoppin 15 lbs 8 oz {70th percentile}. me & daddy have decided that you will play soccer & basketball {due to your love for kickin those long legs & also your lengthy body! 25 1/2 in – 70th percentile}. well daddy is convinced that you will be playing soccer, basketball, baseball, football & golf. maddix, not to make you self conscious or anything, but we would like to let you know that when leaning to the side you have about 10 separate rolls. they are precious. maybe this will help motivate you to not want to eat every 2 hours?? besides the point, we are so happy to have you in our family & can’t wait to spend eternity with you! you are such a sweet, fun, happy, handsome, boy.
